Offering “local fresh Peruvian cuisine for everyone!” El Gran Inka offers classic Peruvian cuisine “with a gourmet touch” at two South Florida locations, at 606 Crandon Blvd. in Biscayne and at 11401 NW 12th Street #E502 in Miami.
“Gran Inka was founded fifteen years ago by a group of Peruvian and Costa Rican businessmen who, with great enthusiasm, decided to undertake the task of developing a project that would make the secrets of their emblematic cuisine known outside Peru,” reads the Gran Inka website. “This is a typical Peruvian food restaurant with a gourmet touch, where every guest experiences a mystical cultural atmosphere, exquisite food and excellent service.”
And now, the team behind Gran Inka appears to be at work on a new concept, this time in North Miami Beach. Plan review paperwork submitted recently by Mathfoods LLC shows a restaurant called UMA opening at 16385 Biscayne Blvd, near apartment building The Harbour.
Behind Mathfoods LLC is El Gran Inka owner Jorge Vega. What Now reached out to Vega this week to inquire about the UMA project. Vega was not immediately available to discuss the restaurant.
For the moment, it looks like we’ll have to keep waiting on further information. In the meantime, you can follow @graninkamiami on Instagram.
