A new eatery, The Kickback, is taking over the former home of Hawker Fare at 680 Valencia Street — near eateries such as LUNA New American restaurant, Taishoken San Francisco, and Taqueria El Buen Sabor.

Owner Marwan Zeidan tells What Now San Francisco that The Kickback will be an “indoor beer garden” — a brew-focused bar and restaurant decorated with greenery and plenty of TVs for watching sports.

Waiting on his beer and wine license application to be approved, Zeidan is currently renovating the two-story space — adding more booths, upgrading equipment, and decorating. In total, The Kickback will accommodate about 300 people.

The Kickback will open at 7 a.m. and close at 10 or 11 p.m. — serving American breakfast and lunch and dinner plates like chicken wings, pasta, and burgers.

Zeidan shares that he has also applied for an entertainment license and hopes to host DJs, karaoke nights, and comedians.

The Kickback in the Mission District is slated to open before the end of summer.
