Since 1996, Franchise Owner Ricki Oberoi began his journey with his first Wendy’s in Houston. Now his 46th will open at 1921 US-90, Liberty, TX 77575.
Wendy’s was first opened by Dave Thomas over fifty years ago. Since his passing, the company still holds true to Dave’s commitment of serving “fresh, never frozen” food for affordable prices. The restaurant’s overall focus is food, people, and its footprint.
Oberoi was first working in the Indian restaurant business before going out on his own to build his Wendy’s Franchise Empire. The franchise offer he was given was one he couldn’t refuse from the square-patty company when he first began his search. Overall, he appreciated the values in place and Dave’s philosophies. When asked if he had any other franchises or companies, he responded, “I really enjoy the brand and developing my people and teams. I never felt the need to diversify. But we are always looking for opportunities to expand within Wendy’s.”
This Liberty location will be a 2500-square-foot new construction allowing for it to be one of the updated versions of the restaurant. ” It will be the latest and greatest prototype with more advanced technology, like order kiosks. It will have a pickup window dedicated to delivery drivers, and the shape of the building is a newer format and more efficient. We’ll also be getting faster kitchen equipment that won’t compromise the product and freshness, and that work more sustainably and are eco-friendly.”
The permit on file shows the project will cost $900,000 with an expected completion date of mid-December 2023.
