Raoul’s, the renowned SoHo restaurant, at 180 Prince Street, is planning a significant expansion of its dining facilities, according to recent project filings. The restaurant is set to extend its operations into an adjacent space, at 178 Prince Street.
The expansion plans include an enlargement of the existing dining room, adding an additional 12 seats. Moreover, a brand new dining room is set to be constructed, which will house 38 seats.
In addition to the expanded dining areas, Raoul’s plans include the construction of a separate private dining room. This space will cater to groups, offering an exclusive dining experience for up to 20 patrons.
The project also encompasses the construction of a new kitchen. This expansion will be part of the enlargement of the restaurant’s existing cellar, providing enhanced facilities to support the increased dining capacity.
As part of the revamp, Raoul’s at 180 Prince Street will also see an overhaul of its current 8-person bar, the filing indicates.
This planned expansion of Raoul’s comes on the heels of the 2023 debut of a sister eatery, Revelie Luncheonette, by the restaurant’s ownership led by Karim Raoul. Located across the street, Revelie Luncheonette, named after Karim’s daughters Rêve and Amelie, offers both lunch and dinner options.
The expansion of Raoul’s marks a significant milestone in the restaurant’s history, reflecting its commitment to growing and evolving while maintaining the quality and character that have made it a SoHo icon.
