National coffee bar chain Black Rock Coffee is building up a new area location at US-183 Hwy & Hero Way in Leander, according to recent public records.

“We strive for excellence in everything we do in life. Our crafted drinks are a way we show respect for our customers and ourselves. They are the beginning of a relationship built on trust and care that through time grows to see our stories unfold in our city,” the official website states.

The project, consisting of a “tenant finish out of an existing leased space” spanning around 2100 square feet, will begin in March 2025, spanning an estimated five months and costing $300,000.

Readers unfamiliar with Black Rock Coffee can expect a classic coffeehouse menu of drip, espresso, and cold brew along with smoothies, juice, Italian sodas and locally-determined breakfast options — “every Black Rock location provides fresh, locally-made pastry and breakfast items,” according to the website.

Since the company was founded by Jeff Hernandez in 2008, it has expanded to over 100 locations across the US.

No opening date has been announced.
