Bear Hug Hospitality is setting up to introduce Beez Kneez to Houston at 1015 W 19th St. Owner Willie Stark, in a recent statement, expressed his anticipation for the grand opening, stating, “Nothing to report just yet. We have a Beez Kneez in Austin, and this is an expansion of that.”

Beez Kneez has a speakeasy-vibe with a fun, laid-back atmosphere for its bar patrons. All sorts come through for their own reasons, whether to celebrate the night itself or even upcoming nuptials. It has coined itself as “Granny’s House” and offers “Grandma’s delightful adult beverage treats and classy molassy cocktails.”
According to the permit on file with the city, this new construction project to create the bar/tavern space with “no kitchen” will begin August 2023. Upon completion estimated for April 2024, 3892 square feet of space will be available. Total estimated cost is set at $880,000.
