The Albert Hotel — an upcoming “honest Hill Country getaway” backed by the New Waterloo hospitality company — plans to debut in Fredericksburg.

Coming to 213 East Austin Street, the inn will land near establishments such as Kaffee Haus, Sage Restaurant & Lounge, and Vaudeville.

In addition to “110 guest rooms, a sunken pool, a full-service spa, [and] event spaces,” the retreat will boast three restaurants and two bars, according to Austin Eater  — one of which is Junebug’s, “a classic Texas backyard bbq joint, fondly named for + led by New Waterloo’s head of F&B and lowkey award-winning brisketier Justin Spencer,” as described in a New Waterloo Instagram post.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Spencer to inquire about the concept, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
