Popular home-style restaurant Minnie Bell’s is planning to make its debut in San Francisco later this year, according to the San Francisco Chronicle

Taking over an existing 2,000-square-foot space at 1375 Fillmore Street  formerly home to Bruno’s Pizzeria — the eatery will soon neighbor establishments such as Happy Shabu Shabu, Merchant Roots, and Scott’s Chowder House.

Serving up soul food at Public Market Emeryville since 2018, this will mark chef and owner Fernay McPherson’s first brick-and-mortar Minnie Bell’s restaurant.

What Now San Francisco reached out to McPherson to inquire about the upcoming location, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, locals can certainly expect to find staples such as rosemary fried chicken and mac n’ cheese, as well as brunch options including oxtail hash and shrimp etouffee served over a fried grit cake on the menu.

Follow Minnie Bell’s on Facebook and Instagram for additional updates.
