The intersection of South Main Street and West Wyoming Avenue in the Gateway District appears to be the future home of a new taqueria and cocktail bar. Plans have been submitted to the Las Vegas Planning Commission for Cosecha Taqueria & Cocktails, which would open at 1524 South Main Street.

Few details on the new bar and restaurant are available yet, although the evocative name at least paints the picture of tacos and mixed drinks—the name, Cosecha, meanwhile, translates to harvest.

A justification letter submitted by chef and owner DJ Flores along with the documents says that Cosecha Taqueria and Cocktails would be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

The letter also states that the location’s current occupant (which appears to be Taco Rico) was expected to vacate within two months at the time of writing.

Opening in the Main Street location, Cosecha Taqueria & Cocktails would join a food and drink community that includes Able Baker Brewing, Iwana Specialty Coffee Roasters, Jack in the Box, and more.
