A new bar in the works Downtown may soon be reaching completion. The bar is called Vigorish, and plans submitted recently to the Las Vegas Planning Commission show it opening at 150 Las Vegas Blvd S #100, in the Ogden.
The name Vigorish has been popping up here and for a while now, but the concept is still somewhat mysterious. A post on the bar’s Instagram page reads as follows:
“Vigorish Bar & Grill didn’t begin the moment the old place closed. It began the moment we wrote our names in the dust that settled, and drilled an ominous hole into the ground…[5/12/22].”
Published August 13, 2023, the post shows images described in the text: both the word Vigorish written in dust (see above) and the hole mentioned in the text.
What Now reached out to owner Demetrius Bagley on Wednesday to ask about the Vigorish (re)opening. Bagley said it is still too soon to share details about Vigorish. So, for the moment, the mystery remains.
