Nestled in the heart of the craft beer landscape, Southern Star Brewery, located at 3521 N Frazier St, Conroe, TX 77303, has long stood as a testament to traditional brewing excellence and innovative flavors. This esteemed brewery, known for its deep-rooted commitment to quality and community engagement, is embarking on an exciting new journey. Now with Walter and Susan Galdenzi at the helm as its new owners, the brewery is undergoing a renovation.

Southern Star Brewery, founded in 2008, is a distinguished craft brewery located in Conroe. Known for its wide range of unique and flavorful beers, the brewery has made a name for itself with signature offerings like its current favorites: Dortmund Rebel, Loki’s Lies, and Tejas Hot Chocoloate. Its approach combines traditional brewing techniques with innovative recipes, catering to a diverse clientele. The brewery’s inviting taproom and regular community events have made it a beloved local gathering spot.

At the heart of the renovation to come is the transformation of the current office space into a contemporary bar. This new bar will serve as the centerpiece of the brewery, showcasing an array of Southern Star’s signature brews alongside new, experimental batches. Additionally, the inclusion of a covered porch seating area, spanning 4,279 square feet, is designed to enhance the overall guest experience. This outdoor space will not only offer a relaxing atmosphere for patrons but also provide a scenic venue for community events and gatherings.

The new design aims to create a space that is both welcoming and inspiring, a place where old traditions meet new trends. With these changes, the Galdenzis can expect to attract a diverse crowd of beer enthusiasts, from local loyalists to international visitors, making Southern Star Brewery a must-visit destination in the craft beer world.

This renovation plan set to commence in January 2024, is targeted for completion in April 2024, according to the permit on file.
