Founded in Guatemala in 1971, Pollo Campero has expanded considerably with hundreds of locations in several countries.

Pollo Campero is “a unique food experience that’s full of life and seasoned with a little zest,” says the brand’s website. “But it’s not just any food. We’re talking about marinated to the bone, slow-down-and-enjoy-every-bite, food. Flavor that’s more than skin deep—that’s bold, complex and a little unexpected. Flavor that is not only in our food but baked into our DNA and expressed with our passion.”

The brand is now expanding throughout South Florida, where it’s planning to open a new location in Miami Gardens next, at 4698 NW 183rd St.

Pollo Campero serves “fried and grilled chicken made from family recipes passed down from generation to generation, along with chicken sandwiches, empanadas, salads and bowls, plus unique sides like sweet plantains and yuca fries.

The Miami Gardens location is headed to Miami Gardens Shopping Plaza, a retail center on the southeast corner of Northwest 47th Avenue and Northwest 183rd Street.
