According to a recently signed lease, San Francisco’s dumpling restaurant chain Dumpling Time plans to open a new location in Castro Valley.

Coming to 3295 Castro Valley Boulevard, the eatery will join Castro Valley Marketplace, “the East Bay’s largest food hall,” alongside existing tenants such as Akemi Sushi, Beard Papa’s, and Seven Hills Baking Co.

What Now San Francisco contacted owner Michael Shao to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

For readers unfamiliar with Dumpling Time, it was founded in 2011 and has since expanded to four locations throughout the Bay Area, gaining popularity for its handmade, Shanghai-style steamed dumplings and pan-fried pork buns.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow the eatery on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
