In a refreshing twist of entrepreneurship, Brett Nuttall, a working attorney with a decade of experience, is diving into the world of fizzy beverages with the opening of his first Pop Drinks franchise at 4902 Atascocita Road #1000, Atascocita, TX. This venture marks a significant milestone for both Nuttall and the popular beverage brand.

Pop Drinks has established itself as a standout in the world of specialty drinks. The brand has gained a loyal following for its innovative approach to sodas, offering a wide array of flavors and mix-ins that cater to individual tastes. Alongside its signature sodas, Pop Drinks is equally renowned for its delicious cookies, further enhancing the customer experience. The brand’s commitment to localizing flavors at each franchise location allows for a personalized touch, making each visit to Pop Drinks a unique and enjoyable experience. With a growing number of franchises, Pop Drinks continues to spread its fizzy delight across various regions, inviting more people to indulge in their tailor-made beverages.

Nuttall’s journey with Pop Drinks began with a simple yet profound connection to the brand. His parents live in Utah where the brand originated and is largely populated, which got him thinking of wanting to perhaps switch fields. He felt it would also be a very popular experience for the people of Houston. “I also really like the cookies,” Nuttall shared in a recent interview. His fondness for the brand, coupled with a desire to introduce something new to the Atascocita area, spurred him towards this entrepreneurial path.

This first-time franchisee isn’t stopping at just one location. Nuttall has ambitious plans to open 5-7 Pop Drinks outlets over the next three years, ultimately transitioning to work full-time within the brand. His vision extends beyond just replicating the successful formula of Pop Drinks. True to the brand’s ethos of localizing flavors, Nuttall is excited about the creative freedom granted by the corporate team. As he has been given some control over his own drinks, he has plans to open the gates to his employees, allowing them to also share their creations with customers. To incentivise their creativity a bit more, those creations will be connected to a “reward system” that will be based on the performance and sales of their concoctions as well.

With an estimated cost of $300,000, the 1,500 square foot space will see the construction of interior partition walls, transaction counters, and new finishes. The renovation also includes the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems tailored to the needs of a retail soda establishment, adhering to all applicable codes.

Nuttall expressed that as long as all goes to plan with permitting, the build-out will be quick and he’s hopeful to be open no later than June 2024.
