Oregon-based concept Black Steer Steakhouse plans to expand to Novato, according to a recently submitted permit application.

Coming to 250 Entrada Drive — taking over the former Rickey’s Restaurant space — the eatery will land near establishments such as Five Points Fitness, Inn Marin & Suites, and Red Boy Pizza.

The concept’s owner, Munther Massarweh, confirmed the address of the upcoming outpost but could not provide additional information before publication.

For readers unfamiliar with Black Steer, the eatery provides a brief introduction on its website: “Whether it is stopping in for our Shuck’n and Shake’n hour to grab some oysters and cocktails, or wanting a nice upscale ‘date night’ for two with low light ambiance along with a bottle of our signature Blacksteer wine, a great Chef selected steak, followed with a luxurious dessert, our saloon is the place to be.”

An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow Black Steer Steakhouse on Facebook for updates.
