After doing a variety of takeover-style pop-ups, wine bar and social club Mano Negra Kitchen + Wine Bar looks to be moving forward with a brick-and-mortar location. A plan review was submitted recently by the wine bar brand for a location at 4555 Ponce de Leon in Coral Gables.
Mano Negra Kitchen first shared news of an upcoming brick-and-mortar several months ago, in an Instagram post featuring a photo of a space under construction and a key in hand.
“2024 is looking to be a great one. Let it rip,” the post said.
Since then, the brand has done popups in a variety of locations, including at Miami’s Zero Zero and Fort Lauderdale’s Small Wine Shop.
One of the brand’s “Brunch Affair” popups offered dishes like Brunch Pizza with Crispy Bacon, Wine Braised Leeks & Onion Soubise; Shakshoukah with Chickpeas, Feta & Fresh Pita; and a Seafood Tower with Sebastian Silver Oysters, Smoked Wahoo & Royal Red Shrimp. Details on the menu offerings at a Coral Gables brick-and-mortar are not yet available.
What Now reached out to co-owner Richard Joseph on Thursday to inquire about plans for the opening. Joseph was not immediately available for comment.
