The small business D&N Hot Wings owned by two local entrepreneurs, Daniel and Nuresh Baird Rajendran, has its sights set on growing. According to Daniel, the duo has a goal of expanding with more locations across the Bay Area, though official leases have not yet been signed.

The first location opened this fall at 215 Fremont Street, hitting the ground running, and has since become one of the area’s only high-quality chicken wing restaurants taking pride in spicy and flavorful saucy wings.

The concept is dairy and gluten-free, making its menu accessible to those with dietary restrictions. It also offers other menu items besides wings, including plant-based cauliflower bites, salads, and sandwiches. Its sauces range from various heat levels, beginning at mild and ending with “the spiciest in SF.”

Before opening his concept, Daniel entered and won a local hot wings challenge in 1996, igniting his passion for the cuisine. Daniel noticed the Bay Area’s wing scene lacked in offering both a spicy and flavorful sauce, which inspired him to create his “Death Wing Sauce” named Karamana, which is described as sweet with a hint of smoke and will also burn your face off, according to the eatery’s website.

Customers should be on the lookout for this up-and-coming dining destination as it continues to grow in the area in 2024 and beyond. Follow along with D&N Hot Wings on Facebook and Instagram for more updates as additional locations are announced.
