According to a recently submitted permit application, a new dining concept, Ben Ben, is taking over the former Himalayan Flavors spot in Berkeley.

At 1585 University Avenue, the concept will land near establishments such as BODYROK Berkeley, The Bay’s Taco Truck, and Three Stone Hearth.

Ben Ben’s owner, Jacqueline Chi — the restaurateur behind Nash Café, a Chinese eatery located just up the road — tells What Now San Francisco that the space is currently undergoing renovations that should be completed come spring.

Chi was unable to share details concerning the menu, so stay tuned for updates.

An opening date has not yet been announced.
