According to a post to Instagram, Yemeni cafe Sana’a is constructing a new location in San Rafael — though an address has not yet been announced.

Additionally, “Sana’a Cafe has plans to expand in Northern California, eyeing key markets, including Sacramento [and] Oakland,” reports What Now Sacramento.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Sana’a, the cafe is known for its traditionally brewed Yemeni coffee and its Adani Chai — made by blending black tea, evaporated milk, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and sugar. The menu also boasts Yemeni pastries such as sabayah and baklava.

“Join us in this cozy oasis of flavor, culture, and where every bite tells a story,” the announcement concludes.

Bassery Alriashi, the CEO of Bass Cafe Inc., could not provide additional information before the time of publication. An opening date has not yet been announced.
