It appears Ten50 BBQ is working to add a second spot in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Ten50 BBQ has been serving Texas barbecue at its Richardson location on North Central Expressway since 2014.

According to a recent project filing, Ten50 BBQ could open at 5519 W Lovers Ln., Dallas, TX 75209, possibly in late 2023. The location was previously occupied by Sonny Bryan’s Smokehouse, which shut its doors back in 2022.

The filing states construction on the 3,100-square-foot space could kick off later this summer. Improvement plans for the existing building include some demolition, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical, as well as an interior finish out.

Pitmasters at Ten50 BBQ labor for 12 hours or more to develop the flavor of the meats. The menu includes smoked meats of Prime Brisket, St. Louis Pork Ribs, chicken, and more. Sandwiches are available along with house-made sides of Brisket Baked Beans, Slender Slaw, and Five Cheese Mac. Diners can also enjoy Fried Okra, Skinny-Cut Rings, and Corn on the Cob, plus dessert.
