According to a recently submitted permit application, a new restaurant, Heads and Tails Barbecue, plans to debut in Berkeley.

Coming to 2121 San Pablo Avenue, taking over a space formerly home to the German restaurant Gaumenkitzel, the eatery will land near establishments such as Acme Bar & Company, Highwire Coffee Roasters, and Rainbow Donuts.

While the menu hasn’t been announced yet, according to the filing, the business intends to serve beer and wine.

The concept’s owner, Rick Stolle, tells What Now San Francisco that Heads and Tails Barbecue will open in early April.
