A brand new restaurant is making its way from the banks of the Tiber to our shores here on the Hudson. Ginger Sapori E Salute is the latest restaurant scheduled to open up in Times Square, taking over the space at at 1251 Avenue of the Americas.
Founded in Rome in 2012 by restaurateur Dario Asara, Ginger was created “with the aim to put together health and taste”. Describing themselves as “veggie friendly”, Ginger offers an 80% plant-based menu with additional meat options for the more carnivorous connoisseurs. Featuring a daily selection of breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, Ginger has everything a person might need and cares about their health and diet.
What sets Ginger apart from other restaurants is their commitment to sustainability. Sourcing local products like fruit, seasonal vegetables, and fresh fish and meat from their Le Masciare farm in Campania, Ginger’s commitment to environmental sustainability ensures that every dish they serve is as fresh and flavorful as possible. Prioritizing health, freshness, and experimentation with new flavors, Ginger is the place for a healthy diet from breakfast till dinner.
Ginger is scheduled to move into the Exxon building at 1251 Avenue of the Americas. In an impressive deal struck with Winick Realty Group, the restaurant will be securing 6,279 square feet of space on the ground floor. As the first Ginger Sapori e Salute to arrive in the US (and third in the world overall), the new move has been eagerly anticipated by Americans for some time.
Expected to launch by February 2022, Ginger is expected to exert strong influence on the Times Square submarket. Less than a block away from the the M&M store and Rockefeller Center, Ginger will be able to provide tourists and theatre goers with a more refined dining experience than nearby options. Look forward to authentic Roman cooking with the freshest flavors available coming to Times Square next February.
