Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is significantly increasing its presence in Texas with an exciting 20-unit development deal in Houston. This strategic expansion is spearheaded by the dynamic franchise group Lone Star Custard, led by the DePinto brothers—John, Nick, and Joe. Raised just outside of Dallas, the trio is set to bring their unique skills and shared vision to Freddy’s, further solidifying the brand’s footprint in the Houston market. This major announcement was first reported by QSR Magazine.
The DePinto brothers are no strangers to Freddy’s successful business model, having embarked on their franchising journey with the brand in 2022. Prior to this latest agreement, they had already made a mark with 24 successful Freddy’s restaurants across Texas, including locations in San Antonio, Austin, and the Rio Grande Valley. The latest deal also includes the acquisition of 18 existing Freddy’s locations in Houston, showcasing their commitment to rapid growth and market penetration.
The DePinto brothers bring a diverse and robust background to their franchise operations. John, the eldest, is an Army veteran with a degree from West Point and five years of active duty, including overseas service. Nick, with his eight years of experience in private equity and investment banking, adds a sharp financial acumen to the mix. Joe rounds out the team with a solid foundation in management consulting within the consumer and retail sectors, particularly in the restaurant industry. Their combined expertise forms a formidable force within the Freddy’s franchise network.
With this significant expansion, Houston residents can look forward to more locations offering Freddy’s signature frozen custard and steakburgers, delivered with the exceptional service and quality that the brand is known for.
