A new bar is coming to San Jose — taking over the former Triple Threat Sports Bar & Grill space at 398 S Bascom Avenue, near establishments such as Andy’s Pet Shop, Taqueria Eduardo, and Walia Ethiopian Cuisine.

Co-owner Hans Heller tells What Now San Francisco that Burbank Bites & Billiards will be structured after the long-running, now-shuttered bar CB Hannegan’s — an Irish bar & grill in Los Gatos where Heller was once a busboy.

While the bar menu will be traditional, Heller is partnering with a local pop-up concept to manage the kitchen — promising that fried chicken sandwiches, filet mignon fried rice, and loaded potato wedges will be just a few of the food offerings provided.

The bar is slated to open in June. Stay tuned for updates.
