According to a recently submitted permit application, a new eatery listed as The Bay’s Taqueria is coming to Berkeley.

Taking over a 720-square-foot space at 2987 Sacramento Street, the former home of Kaffa Ethiopian Cuisine, the restaurant will land near establishments such as Aunty Pooey’s Sweet Tooth, the furniture store Katz Modern, and Ralph Gracie Berkeley Jiu Jitsu Academy.

What Now San Francisco contacted the concept’s owner, Rosa Ortiz, to inquire about the upcoming concept, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing describes The Bay’s Taqueria as a “restaurant with no alcohol sales” and, based on the name, tacos are sure to be on the menu.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
