According to SF Eater, Chef Ingi “Shota” Son plans to debut a new restaurant concept in downtown San Francisco.

Coming to 140 New Montgomery Street, Comorebi — as it’s listed in recent public records — will land in a 26-floor, Art Deco-style, mixed-use office tower in South of Market alongside the fine-dining establishment Mourad, near eateries such as Henry’s Hunan, New Ming’s, and Pink Elephant.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Chef Son, he is the talent behind the Michelin-starred restaurant Shota, as well as concepts such as Sushi Hashiri and Omakase — “an Edomae-style sushi restaurant that transports diners to Tokyo” by offering an “intimate, 12-seat experience… centered around the chef’s counter.”

What Now San Francisco contacted Son to inquire about the upcoming concept, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
