Horizon Hospitality is getting ready to relocate one of its Macayo’s Mexican Food locations in Tempe from 650 N. Scottsdale Road to 715 S. Rural Road.

The company recently announced opening a new ASU Tempe location in mid-February as the lease at the current location is closing. Macayo’s Mexican Food will have its last day at this location on January 31. Located in the Cornerstone Shopping Center, this location is closer to the ASU Tempe Campus, making it even easier and more convenient for students and the community to visit. Horizon Hospitality is hosting a hiring fair with on-site interviews from January 13 to January 15

“With more convenient entry and exit points and additional guest parking, our new ASU Tempe site makes it extremely easy for students to visit from campus and guests to visit from all over town,” Lucas Farnham, CEO of Horizon Hospitality, said in the news release. “We are excited to open with not only an open floorplan where you can feel the energy from door to door but also introduce an intimate patio adjacent to campus, for guests to enjoy outdoor dining.”

Victoria Dunham has been appointed General Manager of our ASU Tempe location. She joined as a Server in summer 2020 and quickly rose to Management, joining the Marketing team in February 2022. As the company launched this new location, Victoria wanted to lead the operations team. Her experience in both operations and marketing, along with her strong leadership skills, will be invaluable. Though she is an alumna of Grand Canyon University, she is excited to connect with Arizona State University students and engage with the Tempe community.
