A new eatery, Toast’N Egg — a reference to the egg-filled Korean street toasts that will be the stars of the menu — is debuting in Outer Sunset.

Coming to 1838 Irving Street, the concept will land near establishments such as Kevin & Chris’s Noodle House, Marnee Thai, and Uncle Benny’s Donut & Bagel.

“I learned how to make eggs when I was really young,” the owner, Cyrus Shen, tells Eater — “I would add different sauces or seasonings onto the eggs to change up the flavors. When I think back to eating egg toasts, it deeply reminds me of my childhood.”

In addition to ten variations of the egg and cabbage toasts — “including flavors such as beef and kimchi, curry chicken, and vegan mushroom,” according to Eater — the menu will boast “croffles,” or croissant waffles, with toppings such as banana, strawberry, and matcha.

Toast’N Egg is slated to soft-open in early May. Stay tuned for updates.
