According to a recently submitted permit application, a new eatery listed as Hunan Mifen is debuting in Milpitas.

Coming to 1828 N Milpitas Boulevard — an address currently home to Beijing Chef — the restaurant will land near establishments such as the Sunnyhills Shopping Center, Sunrise Tea Studio, and bubble tea shop Xing Fu Tang.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s owner, Yi Qian — who also operates Shang Cafe in San Jose — to inquire about Hunan Mifen, but she could not provide additional information before time of publication.

Nevertheless, based on the eatery’s name, Hunan Mifen will likely serve dishes from the Chinese province — think steamed fish head, Dong’an Chicken, and fried chili pork. Beer and wine will also be on the menu.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
