The owners of The Green Olive, a Mediterranean restaurant in Long Beach, are working on a new Mexican concept called Ancestros right next door to their Bixby Knolls location. A few weeks back, the team was handing out free tortas to spread the word about the upcoming venture and shared to their Instagram story that construction had started on the new restaurant’s interior, reports Longbeachize.

Ancestros will be located at 3550 Long Beach Blvd., which was formerly occupied by The Pan before it moved to the Sutter neighborhood earlier this year. Not much else is known about the concept at this time.

The Green Olive currently has two open locations in Long Beach — the one in Bixby Knolls and another in Belmont Heights. They offer a variety of Mediterranean platters, pitas, flatbread sandwich wraps, salads and dips.

An opening date for Ancestros has not been announced.
