La La Land Kind Cafe, the coffee shop known for its kindness, is opening its fifth L.A. inside The Promenade at Westlake in Thousand Oaks.

“The name La La Land represents a dream world. We set out to bring La La Land to life. A place where you walk in and feel a true sense of joy for life. A place where you are loved for who you are. A place that brings together all human beings. A place where kindness is priority,” says the chain’s website.

Founder Francois Reihani opened the first La La Land Kind Cafe in Dallas in 2019 with the goal of providing young people who have aged out of the foster system with support and jobs.

The brand’s products are wholesome, too, using only organic ingredients. Customers can order a variety of beverages including coffee drinks, matchas, hot and iced teas, coolers, and La La’s signature lattes like the Lavender Bloom, Cookies N Dream, and Purple Rain. The restaurants also offer an array of toasts with toppings like truffle burrata, classic avocado, and honey strawberry, plus pastries and overnight oats.

An official date for the Thousand Oaks location has not been announced, but Reihani told WNLA it will be open “in the coming months.”

La La Land Kind Cafe has 13 open stores between Texas and L.A.
