Boasting a 4.2-star rating on Yelp, Coppelia By Northwood is a West Palm Beach ice cream and frozen yogurt favorite.
The brand was founded in 2021, says a description on its Yelp page. “I came from Cuba 41 years ago, my fun memories as a child was a trip to Coppelia to have ice cream, we did long lines for hours just to have some ice cream. My store offers more than 40 delicuos flavors, among sugar free and lactose free. [Among] the favorites flavors are: Mango, Mamey, Coconut, Dulce de Leche, Key Lime, K, Raspberry Sherbet, Death by Chocolate, Pineapple Sherbet, Vanilla Raspberry Flake, Chocolate Raspberry Flake, Mint Chip, Mantecado, Strwberry Cheese Cake, Guava & Cheese, Acai Popsicles, Cappucino Flake.”
“WOW!” says one review by David B. “Phenomenal ice cream, mint chocolate chip and death by chocolate. The owner is such a super person and let me try a few flavors. Her homemade brownies are also great! 2 scoops was in essence a pint of ice cream! And I was told she is looking to open a store in Wellington and possibly somewhere else I can not remember.”
While it’s impossible to confirm or deny any expansion to Wellington, plan review paperwork has been submitted by Coppelia By Northwood II Inc that shows an opening at 601-650 Royal Palm Beach Blvd, Suite 200 in Royal Palm Beach.
What Now reached out on Wednesday to owner Maria Cabrera to inquire about plans for an expansion to Royal Palm Beach. Cabrera declined to comment.
