According to SF Eater, popular fried chicken chain Pollo Campero plans to debut a new Bay Area outpost in San Pablo.
Coming to the corner of San Pablo Avenue and San Pablo Dam Road, the eatery will take over a 2,619-square-foot building with a drive-thru near establishments such as FoodMaxx and Planet Fitness.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Pollo Campero, the business was founded in 1971 in Guatemala. If offers a brief introduction on its website: “Since our humble beginnings as a family-owned restaurant, we have strived to keep a family-centric mindset throughout our journey.”
The statement continues, “We believe some things should never change. Our fried chicken is specially hand-breaded. Our signature drinks and sides are prepared fresh daily. Our garden-fresh salads are made in-house, every single day.”
“This new San Pablo location joins two other Pollo Campero outposts in the Bay Area, a location in the Mission and Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, plus a takeout-only ‘digital kitchen’ in Oakland,” Eater shares.
Pollo Campero in San Pablo is slated to open in late 2025.
