According to a recently submitted permit application, a new restaurant, Nia Soul Cafe, is coming to San Francisco’s Western Addition.

Taking over a spot at 1325 Fillmore Street, the eatery will land near establishments such as Fillmore Street Cafe, Happy Shabu Shabu, and the American restaurant Merchant Roots.

What Now San Francisco contacted the upcoming cafe’s owner, Pia Harris, to inquire about the restaurant’s pending debut, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, according to a Google Maps business page, it appears that Nia Soul Cafe formerly operated out of 4618 3rd Street as a catering business.

According to the SFHDC website, Harris’s “journey in community development and entrepreneurship includes a significant tenure as the founder and CEO of catering business Nia Soul, where Pia demonstrated expertise in budgeting, cost controls, and profit analysis. Under her leadership, Nia Soul has continued to be a thriving catering business, achieving increasing profitability and sales throughout its many years of operation.”

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
