According to a recently submitted permit application, a new Japanese eatery listed as Chacho Sushi is coming to San Francisco’s Excelsior neighborhood.

Taking over the former Kanpai Sushi House spot at 4808 Mission Street, the restaurant will land near establishments such as the ice cream shop Freshito, the Cajun restaurant Gentilly, and Hawaiian Drive Inn.

What Now San Francisco spoke briefly with the concept’s owner, Ling Liu, but she could not provide additional information before the time of publication.

Nevertheless, drawing from Chacho Sushi’s name, Excelsior residents can expect the restaurant to offer a selection of Japanese cuisine as well as beer and wine.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
