North Beach’s Sancha Sushi is officially open for dine-in services, in addition to the take-out and delivery options they’ve been offering. The restaurant’s complex, punny rolls are packed with wild-caught or sustainably-farmed fresh fish (the “Mom’s Right!” is stuffed with yellowtail, butterfish, avocado, tobiko, sesame seed, seared green onion, and drizzled with truffle oil and yuzu ponzu), and has already begun making a name for itself in the space that was once Pesce y Riso.

And now, the restaurant is taking its success to the Mission. Its second location, Sancha Sushi 2, will open soon at 253 Church Street in the former home of Miyabi Sushi, which, after a 33-year run on Church street, closed last year amidst COVID-19 turmoil.

No opening date has been announced, but sushi lovers should start revving their engines — Sancha Sushi’s first location has been lauded for its friendly service and boasts nothing less than fantastic Yelp reviews, in which customers have often expressed their excitement and satisfaction with the restaurant’s menu in ALL CAPS.

Check out their website or Instagram page for updates.
