The second location of La Fontaine restaurant is coming to 1375 N Broadway in Walnut Creek. When reached on the phone, Chef, and co-owner Hasan Yildiz said he would like to open up the restaurant in about a month and a half.
Chef Yildiz did say that although he doesn’t have much information now, he will have an update with more specific details in a couple of weeks. They are now in the stages of filing for a liquor license.
Yildiz said they had to remodel the entire restaurant, as it didn’t fit the atmosphere of La Fontaine, he wanted it to feel a little more upper-class and exemplify fine dining. He believes it will be the same menu and feel like the current La Fontaine, where they focus on refined French and Italian cuisine. They currently serve things like duck, branzino, octopus, crab, bruschetta, and more. The restaurant also offers catering services.
The chef worked at a different Italian restaurant in Mountain View for 12 years before he realized he wanted to use his skills to open his own business.
Hasan Yildiz and Eric Albuz, the other owner, have been friends since the early 2000s and decided to go into business together, opening La Fontaine in 2013 with the original location residing in Mountain View.
The previous occupier of 1375 N Broadway was Burma Unique, a Burmese fashion restaurant that has since closed down.
