Only two months after CoCo Fresh Tea and Juice permanently closed their doors at 2999 Taylor Street, Sushi Go Go owner Steven Li has seized upon the opportunity to expand his fast sushi chain into the busy Fisherman’s Wharf district.
With four chains already open in the Bay Area, this expansion represents an ambitious step forward for the young business as they move deep into the tourist-filled heart of San Francisco, rich with museums, galleries, and all kinds of amusements for families.
Specializing in quick, delicious sushi on the go, Sushi Go Go is the perfect compliment to the hurried pace of Fisherman’s Wharf and the new location is hard to beat. The expansion will be located in a charming corner building between Taylor Street and Beach Street, only one block away from the wharf, featuring easy access to beautiful vistas of the bay and its islands. Formerly home to CoCo Fresh Tea and Juice, the tea shop was forced to shutter permanently after complications from the pandemic.
Mr. Li was able to confirm with What Now San Francisco that plans are in place to open in early August. The new location will feature indoor dining as well as grab-and-go sushi platters that are ready-made for customers on the move.
With a beautiful new location in the heart of San Francisco, the young chain appears to be expanding quite smoothly at a time when other business have been forced to close. These successes are an exciting indication of what we can expect from Sushi Go Go in the future.
