Chez Nous Café is opening at 2159 Roosevelt Ave. in Redwood City, according to a pending ABC license filed with the State of California. Owner Maria Rutenburg confirms that the space is almost ready for opening in November.
The space has been remodeled to look like a sophisticated library and will even house over 3,000 books for customers to peruse while enjoying their beverages. Rutenburg is also excited about the café’s grand piano, which when played will accentuate the tranquil elegance she hopes to convey.
Chez Nous Café is indented to be a relaxing space where customers can read and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. An Italian influenced café, their coffee bar will feature espresso drinks made with Caffe Vergnano beans. Fresh desserts and pastries will also be available to munch on.
At a later date, Chez Nous will also begin serving wine in the evenings and hosting live musical events. Until then, the café will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on the weekends from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
