Sharetea is ready to open its doors at 2328 Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley late 2021. A city scaffolding is literally in the way of the shop’s soft opening that was originally scheduled for the last week of October.

Co-Owner Sam Shaer explains that the debut has been postponed due to the City of Berkeley’s last-minute construction. Sharetea is a popular Tawainese bubble tea franchise with locations in 16 countries, over 100 of which are located across the United States.

The shop originated in Taipei in 1992, selling to-go black tea and pearl milk drinks made with high-quality ingredients. Today, all Sharetea locations across the globe receive fresh ingredients and supplies directly from Taiwan.

At the newest location in Berkeley, customers can expect favorites such as Mango Mojito, Wintermelon Tea and of course, classics such as Classic Pearl Milk Tea. While Sharetea Berkeley waits for the clearance to open safely, they are currently hiring and training for what is bound to be a successful and busy season.
