After announcing plans for an 18,000 square-foot factory this past fall, Boichik Bagels already has plans to open another retail shop in the Bay Area. Their next location will debut this summer at 855 El Camino Real in Palo Alto’s Town & Country Village, according to recent real estate intel.

“My operations guy is awesome and chomping at the bit to have more operations to run. It’s definitely going to be a challenge and we’re going to learn a lot of stuff, but it’s theoretically very doable so we’re going to do it,” owner Emily Winston told Palo Alto Online

The 1,574 square-foot retail space will include outdoor dining, plus the same delicious menu items sold at their original location in Berkeley. All bagel production will be done at the new factory when it is up and running later this year.

The facility will include a window into the production kitchen, where customers will be able to see the bagels being made in real time. Until then, the plan for the new Palo Alto shop is to have the dough delivered from Berkeley, so that it can be boiled and baked on site.
