According to Yelp, Honey Wings Cafe in Stockton is temporarily closed and it seems that the restaurant has no plans of reopening. Instead, a new restaurant and bar called Pho Island is underway to take its place.

What Now San Francisco has obtained a pending beer and wine license from state public records, indicating that Pho Island is planning to move into the space at 3202 Pacific Ave. Owner Rome Vo confirmed these plans via phone call this week, adding that they are currently under construction.

Vo anticipates a spring debut, saying that they should be ready to open in two more months. He says that the space will be transformed into a restaurant and bar, so you can enjoy an ice cold beer with a delicious, steaming bowl of pho.

In addition to pho, Pho Island’s menu will have other Vietnamese dishes that are sure to satisfy your hunger. While the restaurant’s buildout is underway, Vo plans to put up a website and social media accounts. Until those are ready, you can keep an eye on this address next time you’re in the area to see how things are coming along.
