California Fish Grill is hard at work bringing a new location to San Mateo this summer and it looks like they’re already plotting their next Bay Area location. What Now San Francisco has obtained real estate intel indicating that they will take over the former MOD Pizza at 5040 El Cerrito Plaza in El Cerrito.
The chain will take over the 2,400 square-foot restaurant space this summer to begin the buildout phase. Representatives for California Fish Grill confirmed that they anticipate debuting their first El Cerrito location in February 2023.
California Fish Grill is a fast-casual chain known for serving fresh plates, bowls, tacos, and more. Their open kitchen allows customers to see cooks hand-battering fish, chopping fresh herbs, sautéing vegetables, and cooking their meals over a flame grill.
They serve wild-caught and farmed-raised seafood that is rated Best Choice or Good Alternative by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch program or Eco-Certified by a third party.
