Pizzalina is coming soon to Walnut Creek! The Marin County pizza parlor has an application for a beer and wine license at 2064 Treat Blvd. in the Countrywood Shopping Center off Bancroft Road.

In a phone call with What Now San Francisco this week, owner Michael Baker confirmed that they still need to build out the space, which could take anywhere from six to eight months. He anticipates opening Pizzalina’s second location by early 2023 at the latest.

Originating in San Anselmo, Pizzalina is a favorite neighborhood gathering spot for Neapolitan wood-fired pizza, rustic Italian cuisine, and its wine bar. Their hand-made dishes are made with fresh, locally-grown organic produce, plus pizza crust and mozzarella that is made in-house.

Baker says the Walnut Creek location’s menu will differ slightly from their original in that he plans to experiment with different pizza styles. Perhaps we can expect New York-style slices, Chicago deep dish, or the very trendy Detroit-style pan pizza?

In any case, Pizzalina Walnut Creek is still in its early stages of development, so we’re likely to get more information towards the end of this year as we near opening. In the meantime, check out www.pizzalina.com for more information.
