A new Brazilian steakhouse is coming soon to Sausalito. Show de Carnes will take over a 6,500-square foot restaurant space at 196 Donahue St. An opening is anticipated this fall, the San Francisco Business Times reports.

Show de Carnes will be independently owned and operated by Celso Weller and Carla Callao. They will transform the former Outback Steakhouse space into what is considered Marin County’s first churrascaria, which refers to churrasco-style barbecuing popular in Brazil.

Apparently, the closest restaurant with a similar concept is Fogo de Chão on Third Street in San Francisco. Other Brazilian steakhouses are dispersed throughout the East Bay and the Peninsula, so Marin County folks would typically have quite a drive ahead of them to dine at one of these establishments.

Show de Carnes will be a welcome addition to the area when it opens. Additional information about the menu and a website are likely in development. Stay tuned.
