The owner of Mangia², Monica Dito, is opening a new concept at a brick-and-mortar location in Benicia. The eatery will be called Drift Benicia and, according to its website, it will be a cafe and pizzeria located at 366 1st Street

Establishments in the vicinity include Amore Bistrot, Bella Sienna, Char’s Burger, and The Loft Wine Bar & Restaurant.

According to recent posts to the upcoming eatery’s Instagram page, Dito and Ryan Birch, Drift Benicia’s Co-Owner and CFO, are currently renovating and furnishing the space—and based on records with the Alcoholic Beverage Control, the business has already filed for its beer and wine license.

What Now San Francisco recently spoke to Birch, but he was hesitant to disclose too much at the time. He did, however, share that he and Dito intend to have Drift Benicia up and running before the summer of 2023.
