A new concept, Dessert N Spice, is taking over 1941 University Avenue B in Berkeley — an 1158-square-foot space formerly home to Poke Poke, a business labeled “permanently closed” by Google Maps.

Neighboring establishments include the Chocolaterie chocolate shop, Masa Ramen Bistro, and The Butcher’s Son Vegan Delicatessen & Bakery — “a charming, industrial-chic bakery & vegan deli for pastries, coffee & creative vegetable-based mains.”

According to a recently filed business license application, Dessert N Spice will serve bakery items such as cupcakes and pastries and offer limited seating.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Dessert N Spice Co-Owner Maham Dar, but he was unable to provide additional information before the time of publication.

This article will be updated when more information becomes available.
