Mexican food concept Guapas Mexican Grill is planning to open a second outpost — this time in Menlo Park.

According to a recent beer and wine license application, the fast-casual eatery is taking over Suite 110 at 515 El Camino Real — near eateries such as Cook’s Seafood, Namesake Cheesecake, and Starbucks.

The business’s owner, Rafi Haddad, tells What Now San Francisco that the spot will have a bar area and indoor seating, as well as umbrella-covered outdoor seating.

In line with its flagship location at The Cove at Oyster Point, Guapas in Menlo Park will offer a build-your-own menu — allowing patrons the opportunity to customize burritos, tacos, nachos, and crunch wraps.

“The crunch wraps are probably our biggest hit. We came up with the idea about three weeks after opening our first restaurant,” Haddad shares.

To drink, patrons can enjoy their choice of Mexican beer, or mix it up with a michelada.

Guapas in Menlo Park is slated to open before the fall of this year. In the meantime, follow the restaurant on Instagram, and stay tuned for additional updates — Haddad hints that three to four more Bay Area locations are in the works.
