Paris Baguette Is Expanding its Bay Area Footprint — Opening a New Outpost in San Carlos

The South Korean multinational chain of bakery-cafés is known for its baked goods — think twisted donuts, walnut cream bread, and cream cheese pastries.

According to a pending license application, a new Paris Baguette cafe is coming to San Carlos. 

Taking over the former Maverick Jack’s location at 622 Laurel Street, the bakery will land near establishments such as PYLOS Greek Restaurant, the Lebanese eatery Jood, and the Thai restaurant Siamese Kitchen.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Franchisee Eddie Cha to inquire about the anticipated opening date, but he could not provide further information before publication.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Paris Baguette, the South Korean multinational chain of bakery-cafés — owned by the SPC Group and headquartered in Seoul — is known for its baked goods, including twisted donuts, walnut cream bread, and cream cheese pastries. The business currently operates over 4,000 stores across China, France, Singapore, South Korea, the US, and Vietnam.

An opening date has not yet been announced.
