Malibu’s Burgers — an Oakland-based “relaxed counter-serve joint serving generous plant-based burgers plus loaded fries” — plans to debut a new outpost in San Rafael, according to SF Eater.

Coming to 819 4th Street — an address formerly home to Caribbean Spices Restaurant — the eatery will land near establishments such as Bay Thai Cuisine, Burrito Loco, and Lotus Cuisine of India.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Malibu’s Co-Owner Wahid Brown to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

“There will be Marin-exclusive offerings at the new outpost, but a lot of the core items will jump from the Oakland location to this one in the North Bay,” Eater reports.

Malibu’s in San Rafael is slated to open in April or March 2024. Follow the concept on Facebook for further updates.
